In September of 2018, Free Street contracted five artists, each representing a different Chicago neighborhood: Humboldt Park, Back of the Yards, Garfield Park, South Shore, and Pilsen. Through this community-based performance series, artists helmed hyper-local short presentations of stories of their neighborhoods, creating a grassroots live history of the neighborhood in the backyards and community centers of Chicago.
