After a dreamy September tour to some of Chicago’s most beautiful parks, Rest/Reposo is moving indoors for a limited run in our Back of the Yards Storefront space. Featuring a cast of 5 Chicago artists, and based on the work of Tricia Hersey (The Nap Ministry/Rest is Resistance), Rest/Reposo invites audiences to reimagine rest as a primary need for individuals and social justice movements alike.
The dates: October 17th and October 21st, 7pm
The location: 4627 S Ashland Ave. Chicago, IL
The vibe: Sermon-meets-protest-meets-naptime-meets-time-with-your-BFFs.
Featuring Actual Naps and the option to lie down the whole show, Rest/Reposo is your chance to get a word, celebrate yourself, and let your imagination loose to dream a better world for each other.
