Free Street was founded for the community. For 40 years, community keeps Free Street relevant and engaging.
As much as we take part in the Chicago arts community and diverse lives of young Chicagoans, we have many opportunities for all to take part in Free Street.
Every year, 350 young people enter Free Street’s doors as artists via our training and internship programs.
Your time is valuable to you and to us! Volunteers make an incredible difference in putting on a production, making a memorable event, spreading the word or keeping Free Street shipshape. Contact us for how you can help.
In this, a little goes a long way. Our youth always need bus fare and the healthy snacks we provide to keep them sharp. Not to mention, the advanced year-round training they receive in creating and performing art.
