Free Street Theatre’s IN/HOUSE series is pleased to welcome The Young Fugitives for three week run of Cold Summer, a show that responds to Chicago violence from the point of view of those directly in the line of fire. Directed by Ricardo Gamboa, who developed Free Street’s Paleta Project, Cold Summer is an honest and sometimes surreal production based on intensive research and personal narrative.
Founded in 1969, Free Street Theatre is committed to challenging ideas of where theatre belongs and who belongs in a theatre. Our IN/HOUSE program invites artists across a broad spectrum of experience to develop new work that critically engages social justice issues.
Cold Summer premieres Friday, January 31 at 6:30pm at Free Street Theater.
